Submit a detailed bug report

  1. Open Settings ▸ Help & Support ▸ Report a Bug.
  2. Select the bug type, severity, and platform, then describe what happened.
  3. Leave “Include device info” enabled so our engineers receive logs, then tap Submit.

Report content or a user

  1. From the offending chat, activity, or profile, tap the menu.
  2. Choose Report, select the reason, and add context or screenshots.
  3. For follow-up, open Help & Support ▸ Report Content to send extra details.

Share a feature request

  1. Navigate to Help & Support ▸ Feature Request.
  2. Describe the scenario, the module you’d like enhanced, and why it matters.
  3. Attach examples or links if available, then tap Submit.

What is Wakao and who is it for?

Wakao is an AI-powered activity platform that helps people create, discover, and manage real-world experiences. Describe an idea and Smart AI builds the itinerary, modules handle chat, Cloud Storage, tickets, and translations, and Dice Mode lets nearby explorers join instantly.

How do I create my first activity?
  1. Tap the + button in Discovery and enter the basics (title, description, time, place).
  2. Choose Public for open discovery, Secret to invite manually, or enable a link-only reveal for surprise drops.
  3. Add media, modules, and capacity limits, then publish. You can edit everything up until the activity starts.
How does Dice Mode work now?

Dice Mode surfaces activities near your location as swipeable cards. Each card now shows the host as First name + last initial for privacy, and translated descriptions are displayed by default. If you want the original language, open the activity details and choose View original text.

How can I replay the in-app tutorial?

Open Settings > Help & Support > App Tutorial, tap Restart Tutorial, and the guided overlay will walk you through discovery, crewrooms, and the refreshed navigation flow again.

What is the difference between public, secret, and link-only activities?
  • Public: visible in discovery and Dice Mode for everyone in range.
  • Secret: hidden from discovery; only invited people can view and join.
  • Link-only: unlocked by a private URL, ideal for surprise reveals or limited slots.
How do I approve or remove participants?

Open Manage Activities, pick the event, and use the Participants tab to approve requests, promote co-hosts, or remove members. Everyone is notified automatically.

How do I share large files with the Cloud Storage module?
  1. Inside a joined activity, scroll to the Cloud Storage module.
  2. Connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive (tokens are encrypted with Secure Storage).
  3. Upload folders or files and choose who can view, contribute, or download. Attendees see updates instantly.
How do automatic translations work for descriptions?

Wakao detects the host language and serves a translation immediately in Dice Mode and joined activity details. The Show original toggle only appears when you explicitly request it, keeping cards clean while still letting you access the source text.

How do chats, crewrooms, and disappearing messages work?

Every activity has its own chat. Crewrooms are persistent group spaces with threads and optional voice or video. Enable disappearing messages per conversation to auto-delete sensitive details after 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

How do I report inappropriate behaviour?

Use the in-app Report menu or submit the Help & Support > Report Content form with screenshots. Our trust and safety team triages urgent reports within 24 hours.

What safety practices does Wakao recommend?
  • Meet in public venues and share itineraries with a friend.
  • Verify hosts via their badges and activity history before attending.
  • Use live location sharing only with trusted contacts.
  • Report anything suspicious immediately so our moderation team can intervene.

Account & privacy

Control your profile, languages, and session settings.

How do I customise my profile and languages?

From your Profile > Edit, update photos, bio, and interests. To change languages, open Settings > Language & Translations and use the new four-by-four bubble grid to choose up to three primary languages that scale to any screen size.

How do I adjust privacy settings?

Go to Settings > Privacy to control profile visibility, hide past activities, limit direct messages, and toggle location sharing per activity. Secret or link-only events always remain hidden from public discovery.

I signed out but still see the discovery screen. What should I do?

Update to the latest Wakao version, then sign out via Settings > Help & Support > App Tutorial to confirm the new navigation flow. If you are still dropped back into Discovery, force close the app, reopen, and sign out once more. Contact support@wakaoapp.com so we can reset your session if it persists.

How do I delete or deactivate my account?

Open Settings > Account > Delete Account and type DELETE to permanently remove your data. Prefer a break instead? Choose Deactivate to hide your profile until you sign in again.

What is included with Wakao Premium?

Premium unlocks unlimited activity creation, advanced analytics, larger Cloud Storage quotas, priority support, and early access to new modules such as enhanced Dice Mode targeting.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings > Premium > Manage Subscription. You will be taken to the App Store or Google Play billing page where you can change plans or cancel. Access continues until the current period ends.

How can businesses use the new Wakao Business Profile?

Business Profiles showcase signature experiences, highlight modules, and run link-only offers. Email business@wakaoapp.com to onboard your brand and unlock analytics, promotions, and custom support.

Technical support

Quick fixes for notifications, location, uploads, and performance.

Why am I not receiving notifications?
  • Ensure Wakao notifications are allowed in your device settings.
  • Disable Focus or Do Not Disturb modes, or add Wakao to the allowed list.
  • Inside the app, confirm Settings > Notification Settings matches your preferences.
Location sharing or maps are not loading. How can I fix it?

Verify device GPS is on, grant Wakao "While in use" or "Always" location access, and confirm you have a stable internet connection. On Android, exclude Wakao from battery optimisation to keep the map service active.

The app feels slow or crashes. What helps?

Close background apps, ensure at least 1 GB of free storage, update to the latest release, and submit a bug report with logs if crashes continue.

Uploads are failing or stuck. What should I try?
  • Switch to a stronger Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
  • Compress very large videos before uploading to Cloud Storage.
  • Retry after checking file permissions. Progress resumes automatically when the network stabilises.
