How do I create my first activity?
To create an activity, tap the "+" button on the Discovery tab. Fill in essential details: activity name, description, date, time, location, and category. Choose between public (visible to all) or secret (invite-only) activities. Add photos, set participant limits, and configure any special requirements. Once published, users can discover and join your activity.
What's the difference between public and secret activities?
Public activities are visible to all Wakao users and can be joined directly by anyone interested. Secret activities are invitation-only and only visible to users you specifically invite. This gives you control over who participates, perfect for private gatherings, exclusive events, or activities with limited capacity.
How do I join an activity?
Browse activities on the Discovery tab or search by category, location, or date. Tap on any activity to view details, photos, and participant list. If it's a public activity, simply tap "Join Activity" to request participation. For secret activities, you'll need an invitation from the host to join.
How do I customize my profile?
Go to your Profile tab and tap the edit icon. You can update your profile picture, banner image, bio, interests, and personal information. Add your preferred activities, languages you speak, and any special skills or certifications. A complete profile helps others discover you and increases your chances of being invited to relevant activities.
How do I manage my privacy settings?
Go to Settings > Privacy to control who can see your profile, activities, and contact information. Choose between public, friends-only, or private visibility for different profile elements. You can also control location sharing, activity visibility, and who can send you messages or invitations.
How do I start a conversation with other users?
You can start conversations in several ways: join the same activity and use the activity chat, send a direct message from their profile, or respond to messages they send you. Activity chats are the most natural way to connect, as you already share a common interest.
